Tony Charette, age 90 of Hobart passed away peacefully on May 5, 2014. He was born on November 10, 1923 to the late Peter and Facunda Gomez. He was a proud and determined veteran, who served in the Navy during World War II at the Pacific Theater. Tony retired from Ford Motor company where he had worked as a line inspector.

He is survived by his four children: Tony (Peggy) Charette, Garry (Lisa) Charette, Rosanna (Randy) Sopher and Sue (Larry) Suarez and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson: 1 brother Selso Gomez, loving companion, Eloise Ramirez and her sons, daughters, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Charette, 1 brother, Peter A. Gomez Jr., 1 sister, Manuela Lopez, and  2 grandsons, Larry Suarez Jr. and Jacob Charette.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with military honors performed at 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
