Verna Lou Bledsoe –
Age 77 passed away Wednesday, June 1,2011 at her home in Bonifay, Florida. A Portage resident for 59 yrs, a retired cook and bartender of the American Legion, Post 279 of Miller, a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 279.She is survived by her son Charles Bledsoe of Portage; 3 daughters, Lea Ann (Curtis) Jones of Portage Constance Jean (David) White of Florida, Sharon Bledsoe of Portage, 12 grandchildren; Curtis (Christine) Bledsoe, Sandra Bledsoe, Kimberly (Chad) Schwietzer of Portage, Tony (Amanda Lewis) Jones of Laporte, Davinia White of Indianapolis, Jessie White of Alabama, Michael (Tonya) White of Nevada, Gary White of Indianapolis, Jackson, Gillian Bledsoe, and Emily Hess all of Kentucky, Nicholas Goodman of Ohio, 7great-grandchildren brother Jack (Pat) McNabb of Ohio, sister-in-law Shirley McNabb and other loving family members and friends. Proceeded in death by her husband James D. Bledsoe, twin sons; Darrel and John Bledsoe, sister Shirley Norman and brother Harley McNabb.Funeral services Monday, June 6,2011, 10:00a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, with Brother Matt Gilfillan officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, June 5,2011 2:00 4:00 & 6:00-8:00 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage. With an American Legion Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m.
