Vickey Richardson

Vickey (nee Mays) Richardson, age 53, of Hobart, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at home. She was born on November 26, 1963 in Hammond, Indiana. Vickey worked as a bartender at the Waterfront Lounge. In her free time, she enjoyed playing pool. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her son, Chris (Cathy) Mays; daughter, Cassie Splawn; grandchildren, Chris Mays, Kirstin Mays, Kayden Mays, Aiden Grimm, Ava Sutherland, Addison Sutherland; one great grandchild on the way; brothers, Chris Mays and Kenny (Anna) Mays; sisters, Daphne (Johnny) Bates, Star (Danny) Green; boyfriend, Brian Windgaurd; beloved dogs, Sabrina and Casper.

Vickey was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Mays and Mary Oakley; sister, Dawn Mays.

Per Vickey's wishes, there will be no local services. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in the family cemetery in Tennessee.
