Vickie Sue Herrera (nee Tincher), age 74, of Hobart passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born on September 10, 1949, in Gary, Indiana to the late Mearl and Agnes (nee Caffin) Tincher.

Vickie married the love of her life, a Vietnam Veteran, David Herrera, in 1967. They raised two beautiful sons together and spent 58 loving years together.  She graduated from River Forest High School. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, and hosting Christmas with delicious Christmas cookies. Her husband stated "From your loving husband, I will hold onto you for the rest of my life".  Vickie will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her loving husband David Herrera; her sons, Jason (Ashley) Herrera and Steven Herrera; her sister, Debbie (Eddie) Bolde; her nieces and nephews, Anthony, Joey, Sherri, Carrie, Michael. Tammy, Scott, and Butch.

She is preceded by her parents Mearl and Agnes; her sister, Beverly Pritchard; and her brother-in-law, Larry Pritchard.
