Victor T. Juskevice Sr., age 62 of Hobart passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011. He was born on January 5, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to Victor and Palmira Juskevice.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Palmira Juskevice and his mother-in-law, Maxine Knox.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jacqueline Juskevice of Hobart, IN; children, Kimberly (John) Christos of Valparaiso, IN; Victor (Timber Hewitt) Juskevice Jr. of LaPorte, IN; Phillip Juskevice of Muncie, IN; 2 grandchildren, Grace and Manolis Christos and many aunts, cousins, and special friends, including those from Diners Choice restauraunt in Hobart, where he was a daily and loyal customer.
Victor was a 1967 graduate of Andrean High School and he attended Indiana University. He was a longtime member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
He was a retired Foreman from U.S. Steel Cintering Plant and Westville Correctional Center. He was a former member of Club Sar, Hobart Elks, and a very proud member of the Young Democrats.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to St. Bridget Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
