Vilean Bradley

Age 94, a Portage resident passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living. She was born on July 26, 1930, in Kentucky to the late Charles and Lucy Abdon. She spent her childhood on a tobacco farm, the youngest of seven children. As a youth, she lent a hand to her mother and father at the family owned post office and grocery store. Her love for the Lord and her family knew no bounds. As a devoted mother of four, she cherished every moment spent with her husband, Joseph.  She enjoyed Simple pleasures like working in her yard and planting beautiful flowers. She delighted in sitting outside, gently swaying in her rocking chair. Quilt making was her passion before the illness struck. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Ricky (Tammie) Bradley; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Bradley, Christopher Bradley, Jennifer Bradley, April Bradley, and Joseph (Kinzie) Bradley; Matthew Austin; seven great grandchildren, Luke, Lane, Lyric, Tyler, Trenten Shaylynn and Katelynn and one great great granddaughter, Elliot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bradley, baby girl Sharon Bradley, son, Mark (George) Bradley and daughter, Cathy Austin.
