Vina "Via" Mayfield

Vina "Via" Mayfield (nee Munsell), age 84 of Hobart passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born on September 7, 1940, in Kentucky to the late Robert and Vinnie Munsell. Via retired after 25 years of working as a caregiver. She was a dedicated member of Faith Mission Church in Portage where she was an Associate Pastor for 47 years. She was very talented at crafting and will always be remembered for her beautiful flower arrangements.

She is survived by her daughter, Vina Lee (Jerry) Risner; brother Rev. Chuck (Rev. Minnie) Munsell; and several loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vinnie Munsell; her beloved husband, Joe Mayfield; one brother and seven sisters.

A funeral service for Vina will take place Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at Faith Mission Church, 5093 Stone Ave. Portage. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
