Obituary
Vincent Joseph Palmer, 93, of Phenix City, AL, and formerly of Chicago, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Vincent was born on January 1, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Joseph Palmer and Rose Glorioso Palmer. He retired from Yellow Freight where he worked as a truck driver, and was a member of Teamster's Local 705. Vincent was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 26, 2013 at St. Bridget Catholic Church 568 E. Second Street Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Father Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Portage, IN. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Vincent Palmer, Jr. and David Palmer, 2 sisters and a brother.
