VINCENT M. PANDORF, age 70, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013. Vincent was born on January 31, 1943 in Gary to the late Peter and Anna Pandorf. He was a Class of 1964 graduate of Horace Mann High School and worked for many years as a photo technician for Burrell Colour. He previously worked for Cinemagic Magazine and was a member of American Film Institute. Vincent served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam as a Petty Officer1st Class Navy Seal. He was a longtime member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Vincent was a member of the Jewish Liberation Front, Morgan Foundation, NRA, IFT – USS Ainsworth Chapter, Single Adults (SA) Club, and Hobart Camera Club. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting coins and making model cars, ships and planes. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Alice (nee Gardner); 3 sons, Peter J. and Charles V. of Hobart, and John R. of Hebron; 2 grandsons, Collin and Alex; sister, Rosemary Petroff of Merrillville.
Funeral services for Vincent will be Friday, September 20, 2013 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart and going in procession to St. Bridget Catholic Church, 568 E. 2nd St., Hobart, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
