VINCENT R. "VINNIE" SATTERFIELD, age 41, of Hobart, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 20, 2011. Vinnie was a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and was employed as a facility manager at Roehl Transport in Gary. He was very active in Hobart Soccer, currently serving as the president of the Hobart Soccer Club, also coaching and playing in the adult league. Vinnie also enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. He graduated from Hammond Morton High School in 1989.
Vinnie is survived by his loving wife, Shelly, 4 children: Zachary, Jacob, Makayla and Makenzy, mother, Patricia Satterfield of Hammond, father, Ronald (Christine) Satterfield of Summerville, SC, brother, Timothy Satterfield, also of Summerville, sister, Tina (Doug) Hall of Hobart, step-sister, Joy Spillers of Tallahassee, FL and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a memorial visitation on Wednesday, August 24, 2011from 2-7 pm at Rees Funeral, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. The memorial service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ryan McDowell officiating. Vinnie was cremated prior to the memorial service.
