Obituary

Vincent Vereb, born September 22, 1935, passed away Sunday August 21, 2016 with his loving wife of 58 years, Janice at his side. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Priscilla Vereb, brothers, Andrew Jr. Vereb, Joseph Vereb, and sister Anna Vereb. Sister-in-law Nancy Vereb. Father-in-law John R. Hamady and Mother-in-law, Jennie Hamady. Survived by devoted wife Janice Vereb, brother John Vereb, sister-in-law Jerryl (Al)Wielogorski, beloved son Chris (Vicki) Vereb, devoted and loving daughter Jennifer (Eric) Clendenen. Grandchildren Brittany Clendenen, Jack Clendenen, Ryan Clendenen, Benjamin Clendenen, Olivia Vereb, Vincent Vereb.

Vincent was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Post 430 for 34 years. Vincent served as an usher for Blessed Sacrament Church in Gary and was a member until it's closing. He was employed by the Town of Merrillville Street Department for 26 years.

Vincent was a loyal, doting grandfather to his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Vincent enjoyed bowling for over 40 years. He was a friend to everyone and always had a smile to share. Your family will miss you, until we meet again. Private services entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
