Violet Jean Kolczak, age 88, of Hobart passed away Sunday November 9, 2025, at St Mary Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1937, in Gary, Indiana to the late Henry Oscar and Daisie Irene (Hoskinson) Wineinger. She Retired from NIPSCO as an office worker. Violet was a homemaker and loving wife.

Violet is survived by her loving sister, Thelma Czilli of Portage; her brother-in-law, Edward (Darlene) Kolczak of Valparaiso; and a few nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday November 20, 2025, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana from 2-4 pm. Her funeral service will be at 10 am Friday November 21, 2025, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Graceland Mausoleum in Valparaiso.
