Virginia A. Santillanes, age 77 of Hobart passed away Monday, September 2, 2024.  She was born on June 11, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony and Helen Bruno. She was a Hobart resident since 1999 and was formerly of Chicago.

Virginia was a very hard worker, she was a big corporate financial manager for many companies throughout her life and had a very strong and giving spirit.  She was a very selfless person, always putting others first and was the glue that held the family together.   She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, baking, music and sports, especially hockey and football.    Her faith in Christ was solidified at the end.  Virginia enjoyed praying and was around to see all of her family turn their lives around.

She is survived by three children, Lola (André) Collins of Knox, IN; Michael (Sandra) Morgan of Lincolnwood, IL; Jerry Morgan of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Nikita, Taisha, Stefan, Jennifer, Charles (Jennifer), Matthew, Erykah and Tiffany, great-grandchildren, Adriana, Amilio, Adrian, Maycie, Aleksandar, Amina, Adonis, Keegan, Andrew, Amarylis, Creediance, and Stefan II; her nephews, John (fiancee Jackie) Keane, children, Vanessa, Russell, Ashley, Jessicia, and JJ, nephew, Mark Keane, nephew Raymond (Tina) Keane, children, RJ and Matthew; her niece, Dawn (Michael) Keane-Bondra, child, Emma; great great nephews and nieces, Ruben, Victoria, Vince, and Richard

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Santillanes, daughter, Cynthia Morgan, sister and brother-in-law  Judith and Raymond H. Keane, and brother, Anthony Bruno.
