Vivian A. Dallas

Vivian A. Dallas, age 80, of Wanatah passed away Sunday October 18, 2026, at Northwest Health-Porter in Valparaiso. Vivian was born November 24, 1945, in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Alvin and Ora May (Bank) Hickey. Vivian retired from the USW Local Union #6787 where she worked as a bookkeeper. Vivian will be missed by her loving family.

Vivian is survived by her loving husband, Roy Dallas of Wanatah; daughter, Melissa Dallas of Wanatah; her stepson, Jeffery (Susan) Dallas of Wanatah; stepdaughter, Christie Sable of Portage; four grandchildren, Melanee Dallas, Amanda (Luke) Shaw, Justin (Hannah) Dallas, and Jennifer (Mike) Lankas; great grandchildren, Jase, Karlee, Aubree, Ainslee, Gavin, Oaklee, Lynlee, Paislee, Jack, and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marcella “Marcie” Dallas; a son-in-law, Jeff Sable; two brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation for Vivian will be held at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 Thursday October 22, 2026, from 2 to 7 pm. Her Funeral Service will be conducted Friday at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Her burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery.
