Wanda Rizley

Wanda Rizley (nee Ledbetter), age 85 went home to her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 31, 2022. She was born April 6, 1936, to the late Dewey and Evelyn Ledbetter in Oklahoma. Wanda dedicated her life to providing, supporting, and caring for her loving husband and children. She will be remembered as a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Sonny) Newton of Whispering Pines, North Carolina, Darrel (Christina) Rizley of Wichita, Kansas, Pamela (William "Bill") Slicker of Portage, Indiana, and Helen (Jose) Maldonado of Portage, Indiana; 17 grandchildren, Mike Slicker, Ryan Slicker, Jacob Slicker, Brittany (Michael) Luna, and Zachary Slicker, Jennifer (David) Phillips, Joshua (Ellie) Newton, and Sarah (Matt) Mackey, Kayla (Frankie) Egolf, Joey (Sharon) Maldonado and Cody (Karlee) Maldonado, Rashelle Rucker, Jarod( Sarah) Rucker, Alyssa (Shane) Smith, Jacob Rucker, and Johannon (Kirsten) Rucker, Megan Rizley, Eric Rizley, and Alec Rizley; 26 great-grandchildren, Joseph (Morgan), Tyler (Ashley), Kelsey (Preston) , Arthur, Cameron, Katherine, Harrison, Rhys, Bowyn, Bryn, Braedyn, Brynn, Kendall, Bryce, Jon, Kyleigh, Lily, Anthony, Caleb, Caiden, Owen, Brody, Easton, Troy, Lyla and Silas; one great-great grandson , Grey; two brothers, Jimmy (Yvonne) Ledbetter of Wichita, Kansas and Ronnie (Kathleen) Ledbetter of Richmond, Texas and daughter in law, Sharon Rizley numerous nieces and nephews  and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Rizley; son, Darren Rizley: father, Dewey Ledbetter; mother, Evelyn Ledbetter-Wales; brothers, Carl (Fran) Ledbetter and Doyle (Mary) Ledbetter. Memorial contributions in Wanda's memory can be made to VNA Foundation, 501 Marquette Street Valparaiso, IN 46383. Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana.
