Warren Ronald Wade, age 74, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011. He was born on May 10, 1936 in Gary, the son of Harry and Alice Wade. Ron was married to Jacqueline Higginbothan on November 18, 1961 in Hamilton, Ohio. Ron worked as an Inspector for United States Steel and retired after 29 years of service in 1988. At the mill he was affectionately known as Columbo. Ron was a loving husband and father who loved to be with his family, he enjoyed bowling at Ray's Lanes, and listening to sports. Ron was also a member of First Baptist Church and had been active in the choir and awana.

Ron is survived by his loving family; wife Jacqueline Wade, Portage, sons Harry Wade, Portage and Larry Wade, Valparaiso, and other dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Wade, and his sister Margie Price.

A visitation for Ronald Wade will be held from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. A funeral service for Ronald Wade will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, with Pastor Richard Brown, officiating. Burial will be at Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton. Memorials in Warren's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church.
