Warren Lee White 89, of Gary was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 7, 2018. He was born on January 29, 1929 Clay City (Middlebury) Indiana. He worked 40years as an overhead crane man at US Steel. He was a Veteran in the Army, served in the Korean War. Warren graduated from Newberry High School in 1947; he enjoyed playing basketball and was on the basketball team at Newberry.
Member of the Living Hope Church in Merrillville, he also attended Central Avenue church of God in Portage with his daughter, Martha. He loved to read his Bible everyday along with several other Christian books. He loved his Lord with all his heart and was a faithful Christian man. He loved his family so very deeply. A very loving husband, father, grandpa and great-papa. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Warren was survived by his loving daughter Martha White of Gary; brother, Glenn (Mary) White of Hobart; three grandsons, Derrick (Lindsey) Heath of Valparaiso, Justin (Carla) Heath of Wanatah, Ryan (Amanda) Heath of Hobart, son-in-law, Scott (Jeanna) Heath of Valparaiso, two – great grandchildren, Rayna Lyn Heath of Valparaiso and Lyric Oliver Heath of Hobart, niece, Elaine (Jerry) Morgan of Cory, Indiana and other nieces and nephews
Warren was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann White; daughter, Annette Lynn Heath; parents, Gerald and Lola White; sisters, Helen Seymour, Patti Mae White, brother-in-law, Ray Seymour; little dog, Max ; two nephews, Gerald White and Jerry Seymour, Mother-in-law, Violet McFarland, and two sister-in laws , Betty DeMoss and Blanche Mofit.
Warren passed away peacefully at his home.
