Wayne Richard Rogge, age 52, of Hobart, passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2017. He was born on April 10, 1965, in Gary, Indiana to Dewey and Jeanne Rogge.

Wayne’s greatest passion in life was music. A talented musician, he had a remarkable ability to play every instrument he picked up. Music brought him great joy and was an important part of who he was.

Above all, Wayne’s greatest source of pride was his family. He cherished the time he spent with those he loved and treasured the memories they made together.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Phillips; his daughter, Christina (Nicholas) Wisler; his grandchildren, Arianna Wisler, Gavin Wisler, Mason Wisler, and Ava Wisler; his father, Dewey (Marsha) Rogge, Sr.; his sister, Lisa Rogge; his brother, Dewey (Hannah) Rogge, Jr.; nieces, Kristina (Casey) Ballas and Lillyrose Rogge; nephew, Mordecai Rogge; great-nephews, Briar, Ryker, and Jaxson Ballas; and brother-in-law, Ed Hunnicutt.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Hart-Rogge, and his sister, Elizabeth Hunnicutt.

Per Wayne’s wishes, there were no services. Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
