Wilbert G. Caldwell Jr., age 71, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, April 04, 2017, at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. Wilbert was born on September 28, 1945, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Wilbert G. Caldwell Sr. and Viola (nee Ballew) Caldwell. Wilbert enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and working. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Wilbert is survived by his wife of 47 yrs. Linda (nee Spanich) Caldwell of Valparaiso; son, Curtis Caldwell of Valparaiso; four daughters, Christina (Troy) Tull of Hobart, Joelle Riffett of Valparaiso, Patricia (Robert) Richard and Tina O'Neal both of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Timothy; five sisters, Deloris, Jean, Nancy, Carol and Wilda; his furry companion, Mia many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and grandson, Cody Riffett.
A funeral service for Wilbert will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial at McCool Cemetery in Portage.
