Willa B. Fletcher, age 90 of Hobart passed away Friday, July 5, 2013. She was born on November 9, 1922 in Dycusburg, Kentucky to the late Henry and Christal Guess. She was a longtime Hobart resident and member of Central Baptist Church. She volunteered at Millers Merry Manor in Portage. Willa enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
She is survived by 1 son, Bruce (Linda) Fletcher of Portage, IN; brother, Arlin (Heather) Guess of Fort Wainwright, AK; 1 brother-in-law, Ken Key of Libertyville, IL; 1 sister-in-law, Joan Guess of Lafayette, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Fletcher, 1 sister, Violet Key, 3 brothers, Calvin, Leon, and Lonnie Guess.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Willa's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
Funeral services are Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. David R. Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
