WILLARD RENO, age 82, passed away December 28, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 1, 1931 in Alabama and moved to Northwest Indiana as a young man. Willard attended Central Avenue Church of God. He worked as a cement finisher for Local #692 and loved working outside and in the garden. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Johnnie Reno (nee Patterson); sister, Vera Morrisroe; 7 children, Phyllis (Joe) Rael, Judy Reno, Jim Reno, Randy Reno, Becky (Rick) Loving, Janice Reno, and Barbara (Jim) Ricketts; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and 1 on the way.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Willard's family.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Jesse Moore and Rev. Jerry P. Martin officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
