William "Bill" A. Gearhart

William A. "Bill" Gearhart, age 75, of Huntersville, North Carolina and formerly of Portage, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1941 in Knox, Indiana to the late Alton and Welma Gearhart. Bill retired after years of working as a systems analyst for ABN Amro Bank. He belonged to CMSA and SASS.
Bill is survived by his wife, Andrea Gearhart; step daughters, Megan (John Scharnhorst) Reisbich, Erin Rider; grandchildren, Collin, Jenna, Jaime; brother, Howard Gearhart; sister, Liz (Joe) Romeo; niece, Rebecca Gearhart; and nephews, Brett Romeo, Ryan Romeo.
He was preceded in death by his sister in law, Phyllis Gearhart and his parents.
A funeral service for Bill will take place Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:30 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. He will be laid to rest at 3:30 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery, 1402 E John St, Knox, Indiana 46534. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
