William J. "Bill" Posavac, age 59 of Portage passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013. He was born on October 11, 1953 in Gary, Indiana to the late Louis and Trudy Posavac. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bill loved sports and was a huge IU fan. He also loved the White Sox, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks.

He is survived by 3 siblings, Kathleen (John) Tabor of Portage, IN; Terry (Kim) Posavac of South Haven, IN; Michael Posavac of Portage, IN; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Thursday, May 23, 2013 beginning with 9:15 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to Nativity of Our Savior Church in Portage for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial with Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a 3 p.m. prayer vigil at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
