William James "Bill" Williamson, age 68 of Valparaiso passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born on August 3, 1945 in Gary, Indiana to the late Elmer Spencer and Jean Williamson. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. Bill worked as a Truck Driver for Liberty Enterprises. He enjoyed fishing, camping and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Williamson of Valparaiso, IN; 1 son, Russell Spencer (Christina) Williamson of Valparaiso, IN; 2 daughters, Kelly Lynn (Brad Langreder) Vicari of Hobart, IN; Leslie Lynn (Joseph) Pazdur of LaCrosse, IN; 2 sisters, Judy (Kenneth) Land of Portage, IN; Nancy (Nathan) Hunt of Oxford, NC; grandchildren, Karlie, Michelle, Rebecca, Sarah Elizabeth, Grace, Spencer, Tabitha, Morgan, Anthony, Lily, Sara Lynn, 3 brothers-in-law, Rick Carpenter of Valparaiso, IN; Donald (Gail) Rutherford of Elk Grove, IL; Francis Rutherford of Minoqua, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 grandsons, Jonathan, Jeffrey, and Jeremy.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service. There will be a memorial service on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Wheeler United Methodist Church, 307 North Street, Wheeler, Indiana 46393 with Rev. Linda Burnett officiating.
