William A. "By Golly" Biel, age 86 of Portage, Indiana passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.  He was born on March 10, 1934 in Aurora, Illinois to the late William and Margaret Biel.  He retired from Inland Steel where he had worked as a Truck Driver for over 20 years.  William enjoyed woodworking and decking out his garage.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Biel of Portage, IN; four children, William (Nancy) Biel of Weeki Wachee, FL; Sandra (Mike) Davis of Buchanan, TN; Catherine Childress of Portage, IN; Steven Biel of Portage, IN; one brother, Robert Egan of IL; three sisters, Helen Biel of VA; Betty Porteous of AL; Shirley Fineheart of OK; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109.
