William "Bill" Joseph Cochran, age 73, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018. He was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on October 21, 1944 to the late Earl and Evelyn Cochran. Bill loved to golf and was known as "Everyday Bill" at Duck Creek Golf Course in Hobart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathyrn (nee Smith) Cochran; daughters, Michele (John) Beltrano, Christy (Robert) Hess; grandchildren, Marco, Samantha, Robbie; sister, Nancy L. (John) Gourlay; sister in law, Sharon Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Mary J. (Charles) Struve, Earl J. Cochran; and his parents.

A memorial service for Bill will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating at 5:00 pm with visitation just prior from 2-5 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368.
