William "Bill" D. Erickson

William D. "Bill" Erickson, age 62 a lifelong Hobart resident passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023.  He was born on September 9, 1960 in Gary, Indiana to Robert L. and Phyllis A. Erickson.  Bill worked as a Laborer for the Indiana State Highway Department and Local 41 Laborer's Union.  Bill enjoyed carving, wood cutting and fishing.

He is survived by his parents, Robert L. and Phyllis A. Erickson, two sisters, Peggy Fekete of Wheatfield, IN; Patti (Brett) Needham of Kouts, IN; one nephew, Chad (Ashley) Needham, and one niece, Mandy (Ian) Rankin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irving and Evelyn Erickson, and Lloyd and Anne Schnabel, and one brother, Robert A. Erickson.

Funeral services are Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Dennis Gutwein officiating.  Visitation is Wednesday, May 24, 2023 just prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.  Graveside services are Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, 12000 S.
