William Dockins, age 75, of Portage, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021.  He was born on March 1,1946 to the late Willy and Leara (nee Gunter) Dockins.  William retired as an Auto Glass Technician at Safelife Repair. He married the love of his life Karen Lynn Roberts on June 27, 1965 in Covington, Indiana. William will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

William  will be missed dearly by his wife of 55 yrs. Karen Dockins; son, Robert (Kim) Dockins; three daughters, Tina (Tim) Fish, Kathleen (Douglas) Wilson and Dana (John) Gawrysiak; eight grandchildren, Jacob (Chelsea) Fish, Megan (Joe) Ramirez, Allison (Justin) Schaper, Katelynn Wilson, Danielle Gawrysiak, Allie Dockins, Alysa Dockins and Addison Dockins; four great grandchildren, Malcolm and June Fish, Lilly Ramirez and Alice Schaper; four sisters, Colleen Allan, Emogene Lopez, Faye (Carlie) Belilis and Susan (David) Coffing; other loving family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Leara Dockins; three brothers, Lester, Charles (Edna) and Larry Dockins and sister, Jewel Hutchins.

Memorial service for William will be held on Wednesday, May 26,2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.  Memorial visitation will also be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
