William Boyd Hill, age 78, of Lake Station passed away Tuesday May 8, 2018 in Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.  Bill was born January 25, 1940 in Waterloo, Iowa to the late David and Mary (Fuller) Hill.  William was a retired steelworker, drywall contractor and truck driver.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and US Army  and member of American Legion Post #170.

Bill is survived by four children, Lorry (Donny Nixon) Malott of Lake Station, William A. (Jennifer) Hill of Burns Harbor, Bernie Hill of Burnham, IL and John Hill of Jacksonville, FL; the mother of his children, Charlene Tschopp; his brother, Martin Hill of Grundee Center, IA; his sister, Patricia (Donald) Maddex of Waterloo, IA; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Monday May 14, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
