Obituary

William C. Isakson, "Bill", age 85 of Hobart passed away Friday, July 22, 2011. Bill was the Owner and President of Isakson Motors in Hobart. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church; Hobart Chamber of Commerce; Hobart Pool Association; NWI Auto Trade Association; Chicagoland Chrysler Dealer Advertising Association; former member and chairperson for Hobart Federal Savings and Loan; Hobart Rotary; Hobart Lions Club. He was a 1943 graduated of Hobart High School. Bill was a Staff Sergeant in the Indiana National Guard 113th Engineers during the Korean Conflict. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Lorraine; 3 children, Rhonda (Peter) Tamulonis, of Carmel, IN, Robert (Diane) Isakson of Hobart, Karen (James) Wilson of Valparaiso; 8 Grandchildren, Peter (Cara) Tamulonis, Deborah, Jessica and Nathan Tamulonis, Eric (Melanie) Isakson, Steven (Angie) Isakson, Amanda Isakson, Jacob Wilson; 4 Great Grandchildren, Aubrey and Trevor Isakson, Vivian and Georgia Tamulonis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lillian Isakson; sister, Ilene Lindholm; and 1 grandson Matthew Tamulonis. Memorial donations maybe made to Augustana Lutheran Church Foundation and VNA Hospice of Valparaiso. Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Entombment will be at Graceland Mausoleum, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held for Bill on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.
