William "Bill" Lee Walden, age 77 of Portage passed away Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Porter Regional Hospital. Bill was born August 7, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Joseph and Wilda (Hardin) Walden. He was the Manager of Mullins Building Supply prior to his retirement. Bill was an active member of the Hobart Assembly of God Church and was a model train enthusiast. He was a US Army Veteran that served during the Vietnam Era.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of thirty years Frances "Lindsey" Walden of Portage; four stepchildren Lewis (Linda) Lindsey of Chesterton, June (Ron) Taylor of Portage, Jan (John) Webdell, Jr. of Hobart and Randy (Dawn) Lindsey of San Antonio, TX; two sisters Barbara Parson of Atoka, OK and Donna (Barry) Moore of Harrison, MI; fifteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Rev. Ryan McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts are preferred to the Hobart Assembly Church or to Bill's Family in lieu of flowers.
