William Pagan

WILLIAM PAGAN, age 76, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Jesse Brown Medical Center in Illinois.  He was born on April 20, 1947, in Puerto Rico to the late Gregorio Pagan and Josefa Torres.  William was a proud veteran of the US Army, who served in Vietnam. He had worked for Jacobsen office supplies where he drove trucks and installed commercial office furniture, but he will be remembered most for the rental properties he owned and enjoyed maintaining. William's personality and love was infectious. Always happy and smiling. Full of jokes and sarcasm. If your day was gloomy he would find a way to bring sunshine into your heart. He was admired by those he touched and loved by everyone.  He cherished the time he spent with his family and always loved a good gathering with all the kids, grandkids, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.  William's passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mariani Pagan; 2 children, William Daniel Pagan and Julie Deanna Pagan; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Rodriguez, Israel Pagan and Christian Pagan; sister Awilda Gutierrez; many loving nieces and nephews; his sweetheart, Miggie.

William was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nilda Rios, Ismael Pagan, Israel Pagan, Richard Pagan, Ruben Pagan, Tony Gutierrez, Hector Gutierrez and Luis Gutierrez.

Visitation for William will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
