William E. Powers

William E. Powers, age 73 of Hobart passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Rich and Virginia Powers. Bill proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from Vietnam, he made his living as a truck driver for Ponderosa Steakhouse. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and he had a love for horses.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charleene Powers; his children, Kristi (Jeff) Harrison, Greg (Shelby) Powers, Brian Powers; grandchildren, Rain Harrison, Alex Milbourn, Corbin Harrison, Keegan Harrison, Cullen Powers; great grandchildren, Emberly, Davanee, Remi; brothers, Richard (Gin) Powers, Jim Powers; special friends, Mike and Lynn Frame, Brandon Carter, Mike Sherer; and many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rich and Virginia Powers.

Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
