William Joseph "Will" Ray Jr., age 34, of Hobart, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois to Billy and Gardeline Ray. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his adored family. He will always be remembered as a dedicated son, brother, uncle and friend to those who knew him.

Will is survived by his parents, Billy and Gardeline Ray; sister, Krystal (Tony) Alvarez; close friend, Johnny (Xochitl) Michelson; nieces, Ashley Alvarez, Angelina Sonier; nephews, Anthony Alvarez Jr., Matt Alvarez, Liam Michelson; uncle, Kevin (Michelle) Ray, Brian Ray; aunts, Connie (Robert) Cortina, Debbie Nichols, Sherry (Gregory) Stavros, Jeannie Scalzitti, Betty Mayes, Kathy Johnson, Eudeana Salas.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral service will take place Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
