William Charles Wiegand

William Charles Wiegand, age 78, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 13,1942 to the late Charles and Ethel (nee McKinley) Wiegand. William was a member and retired from the Local Union 150. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Tricia Wiegand; son, Wesley (Bessa) Wiegand Sr.; 7 grandchildren, Tasha Cunningham, Shanna (Matt) Cauley, Wesley "CJ" (Amanda) Wiegand Jr., Amara Wiegand. Felesha Casler, Chad and Kyra Kenworthy ;16 great grandchildren; brother, Ray Wiegand; three sisters, Norma Ferrell, Eldora (John J.) Tidwell Sr. and Jeannette Stewart; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel and brother, Robert Wiegand.

A funeral service for William will take place at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368.
