William "Bill" Woynaroski

William C. "Bill" Woynaroski, age 70, of Frankfort and previously of Lake Station and Hobart, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born on September 20, 1946 in Gary, Indiana to Theodore and Jennie Woynaroski. Bill was a 1964 graduate of East Gary Edison High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Bill retired after 36 years of service working as a Lake County Police Officer. He was an avid animal lover. On March 2, 2016, he married Patricia Hook, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Jennie Woynaroski; son, Joseph (Adrienne) Woynaroski; daughter, Teresa "Tracy" (Ben) Hocking; grandchildren, Liam and Rory Hocking; brothers, Robert (Jane) Woynaroski, Benjamin (Katie) Woynaroski; sister, Maryann (Danny) Lester; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Woynaroski. Memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037-0022 or the Frankfort Indiana Humane Society.

Visitation for Bill will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm with additional visitation from 12:00 pm until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
