Wilma "Rose" Morris, age 88, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Sullivan, Indiana on October 9, 1931 to the late David and Willana (nee Holtzclaw) Smith.  She enjoyed attending Central Ave. Church of God and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister, aunt and friend.

Rose is survived by her son, Lance (Maria) Morris; two daughters, Rodeana G. (Douglas) Ayres and Tammy (Benny) Frazier; seven grandchildren, Sydney,Jasmine, Jeremy, Randy, Jessica, Eric and Travis; seven great grandchildren, Tyler, Sabastian, Carter, Jase, Cora, Pasley and Savannah; brother, Joe Smith; sister, Garnetta (Charles) Willamson and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George W. Morris; son, Laurel B. Morris; five brothers, Jay, John, Roland, David and Wayne; two sisters, Phyllis and Marla.

A funeral service for Rose will take place Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Smith officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368.  She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.  Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12-1 pm  at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.  For more information, please call 219-762-3013.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
