YVONNE WILSON, age 56, of Portage, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. Yvonne was the youngest child born to Charles and June Jones on April 7, 1954 in Gary, Indiana. She graduated from River Forest High School, and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Business. Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed dearly and fondly remembered for her large frog collection.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donald; children, Joyce Monday and Donald James (Becky) Wilson, Jr. all of Portage; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Haley Lasley, Katie and Macey Monday, and Katie and Jerico Wilson; brothers, Charles Arthur (Romance) Jones of Michigan City and Brian (Kathy) Jones of Valparaiso; other loving family and dear friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Yvonne's family.

A funeral service for Yvonne will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Yvonne's friends and family are invited for a luncheon from 1- 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 260, 5675 Mulberry Ave., Portage, following the committal service on Wednesday.
