IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeremy W.
Putman
January 25, 1977 – December 29, 2022
Jeremy W. Putman, "Pyle", "The Bear", age 45, of Northwest Indiana and formerly of Ohio and Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Jeremy was born on January 25, 1977 in Fort Wayne, IN to Wayne and Kim (nee Vrchota) Putman. He was a graduate of Portage High School, Class of 1996. While in high school, Jeremy received a certificate of recognition from Purdue University Calumet on May 5, 1995 on the 21 st Century Scholar's program for his commitment to education. He played on the football and wrestling teams advancing to the state championship game. Jeremy was a machine maintenance technician and operator with Graham Packaging and Alpla corporation. Jeremy had a big heart and enjoyed helping others, never asking for anything in return. He was always active and working with his hands. He spent his free time building onto his family home with his dad and brothers. He loved to be outdoors but also love games – just like his dad. Jeremy and his brothers enjoyed playing God of War and share the joy of watching the game – not just playing. He was a strong person and looked forward to getting back to work. Jeremy is a father, beloved son, loving brother, dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many who will be dearly missed by all who were lucky to know him.
The Putman family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at RUSH University Medical Center who cared for Jeremy throughout his illness. Thank you.
Jeremy is survived by his daughter: Jenna; parents: Wayne and Kim; siblings: David, Tracy, Cory, and Thea (Joshua Bacon); nieces and nephews: CJ, Christopher, Alexis, and Sierra; Partner-in-Crime: Susan Flores; favorite aunt and uncle: Frank Vrchota and Imogene Sheppard; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and beloved Boxer: Debix.
Jeremy is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents: Frank and Mary Vrchota, Louis and Lillie Putman; uncle: Chuck Vrchota.
To all I leave behind, live, laugh and love as if it was your last, you never know when it is your time. Always stand tall and strong in front of all fears.
At this time, a Celebration of Jeremy's Life will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
