Margaret "Peggy" Ciesla

Margaret "Peggy" Ciesla, age 77, of Hobart passed away Saturday December 10, 2022, at the St Mary Medical Center. Peggy was born July 3, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stephen and Susan (Lachney) Titko. She retired from the School City of Hobart where she worked as an administrative assistant. She was a 1963 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. Peggy was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping, and watching the QVC channel and Hallmark Movies. Peggy was a dedicated grandmother and avidly followed all her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband James; four children, Debbie (Mark) Spence of Hobart, Jim (Vanessa) Ciesla of Fort Collins, CO, Paul (Alanna) Ciesla of Hobart, and Patty (Andy) Wronko of Hobart; nine grandchildren, Andrea (Brad) Klisurich, Mark (McKenna) Spence, Hannah (Paul) Byrnes, Ethan Ciesla, Luke Ciesla, Maddyn Ciesla, Lily Ciesla, Jaxon Ciesla, and Andrew Wronko; five great grandchildren, Mason, Mallory, Lorelai, Tegan, and PJ; one brother, Rev. Stephen Titko of Cleveland, OH; and many dear friends and other relatives.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Nancy Ciesla.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday December 13, 2022, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. The Rite of Christian Burial will begin with 9:30 am Prayers at the Funeral Home and process to St. Bridget Catholic Church where Mass will be Celebrated by Rev. Dominic V. Bertino at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
