Mary Barszcz age 63, of Portage passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at her home. Mary was born on December 14.1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Józef and Genowefa (nee Piotrowski) Barszcz. She worked as a bartender for many years in Chicago. Mary enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, but above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Mary is survived by her son, Anthony (Heather) Barszcz; two daughters, Samantha (Luis) Barszcz and Terri Barszcz; brother, Stanley Barszcz; three sisters, Theresa Czachor, Barb (Randy) Wojick and Sophie Barszcz; fifteen grandchildren, Tyler, Johnathan, Natalie, Abigail, Christopher, Yasmine (Gio), Emily (Salvador), Jalen, Addison, Ivory, Trinity, Zack, Gina, and Louis Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Madelynn, Scullie, Armando and Rhyder, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jozef; her mother, Genowefa Barszcz; granddaughter, Josephine sister, Helen (Robert) Kalata, and brother-in-law Richard Czachor,
