Michael Shiyan

Michael Shiyan, age 61, of Merrillville, formerly of Hobart, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020.  He was born in Gary, Indiana on February 6, 1958.  Michael attended Hobart High School.  He worked at US Steel as a crane man for 30 years.  He helped his father cook lamb, enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, and loved his nieces and nephews.  Michael will be remembered as an animal lover.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Shiyan; and brother, Steve (Cathy) Shiyan.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Steve Shiyan; sister, Marcine Pennock; and his grandparents, George and Catherine Doolin, Steve and Connie Shiyan.
