About Us
Rees Funeral Home was established in 1960 by Jerry and Mary Jane Rees. In 1985, they purchased the Olson chapel in Portage. In 1990, James Krause, a longtime employee, and Patricia A. Rees, the Rees' daughter, purchased the funeral homes. In 1993, they purchased the Brady funeral home in Lake Station. Patty and Jim have since fully retired. At that time, Jim's son, Josh, his wife, Tory, and his daughter, Julie, purchased the funeral homes. The Krause family and their staff remain dedicated to providing our community with the tradition of a family-owned and operated business that believes in service.
